Wednesday Workshops
September 25, 2019
10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Indiana Convention Center
Teacher Training – Room 136
Jeannie Bland, Ed.D.
10:00 am – 11:10 am – Setting my Limits
This session would cover the importance of being a well-rounded, righteous messenger of God. Saul/Paul’s ministry was probably directed towards the Greeks simply because of what his past represented to the Jews. There were limits his past thoughts and actions (sins) placed on his ministry. Is my ministry limited because of my past or even my present lack of understanding of people? Am I living today in such a way that will allow me to reach more tomorrow? Reputation, testimony, lifestyle, and understanding absolutely factor in to how effective you are in teaching/reaching others.
11:30 am – 1:00 pm – The Bible and It’s Kids
The session would cover children highlighted in the Bible and what could have contributed to their behavior. Think Naaman’s wife’s Israelite maid juxtaposed with the boys eaten by bears. What made them react differently to the same prophet? I will touch on how what children witness and are taught will influence how they react to the sacred.
